Dear Families and Friends of Concord Family Center,

We are thrilled to share highlights from our recent unforgettable field trip to Beech Hill Farm today! It was a joyous day filled with laughter, learning, and special moments as children and their parents/caregivers explored the wonders of farm life together. Our little adventurers had the delightful opportunity to pet baby pigs and goats, observe the bustling chickens and graceful geese, and of course, meet the gentle cows that stole many hearts. The hands-on experiences brought farm life vividly to life, sparking curiosity and smiles all around. Adding to the excitement, every family enjoyed a delicious ice cream treat — a sweet reward after a morning of discovery, connecting and fun! Before heading home, families stopped by our resource table, where they could choose from a curated selection of children’s books, engaging learning activities, and tactile manipulatives designed to continue the joy of learning at home. Over the course of the past years as Coordinator of Early Supports and Family Engagement, I have had the privilege to observe each Family Center child grow and thrive through the rich and engaging activities thoughtfully designed by our Family Center Coordinators. Their dedication truly shines in every event and interaction, creating a nurturing environment where families connect and children flourish. To Miss Jennie, Ashlyn, Jill, Audrey, Claudine, thank you! To our amazing Home Visitors and Early Childhood Outreach Coordinators Miss Pam and Miss Lynda, the connections with families and local providers is amazing and you are providing critical support with our goal of wellness and kindergarten readiness. As we look ahead to next year, we can’t wait to welcome everyone back in September for another exciting year of family engagement, exploration, and community building. Until then, stay tuned for some summer field trips and our summer newsletter! We are planning a special Guest Author reading at Gibsons Bookstore and blueberry picking at Apple Hill Farm. Thank you for being part of our journey and for supporting these wonderful experiences!

With a grateful heart,

Erin Cayer, Early Childhood Coordinator for CSD
