ORGANIZATIONAL MEETING FOR THE BOARD OF EDUCATION
Call to Order – 5:30pm
Attendance: Liz Boucher, Jess Campbell, Alexander Dubois, Brenda Hastings, Barb Higgins, Cara Meeker, Madeleine Mineau, Sarah Sadowski, Pamela Walsh
- Interim Superintendent Timothy Herbert presiding
- Alexander Dubois and Madeleine Mineau were recognized as new Board members
- Election of Officers – Pamela Walsh – President, Cara Meeker – Vice President, Liz Boucher – Secretary

PUBLIC HEARING – BOND RESOLUTION
- Business Administrator Jack Dunn provided an overview of the bond process for the new middle school and sample bond schedules (information is available on the website)
- Public comment – eight people share public comment
- The Board voted to hold a meeting on the bond resolution on January 28, 2026 at 6pm – approved 9-0

RECOGNITIONS / REPORTS
- Student Report - Aryn Bernardo and Clementine Mayala shared updates at Concord High school, including:
- Course selection, intersession and mid-terms are coming up
- CRTC will hold preview days in early February
- Getting to the Y Club did a presentation sharing their purpose, Be the Change Club held their "Around the World" event
- Superintendent Report
- Car donation for the automotive program at CRTC – Silver Creek Development donated at 2017 Ford Explorer
- CMS Principal Search – the principal search is underway, there will be opportunities for the CMS community to be involved
- CHS Special Education Director Search – the search will start soon
- Grant: Healthy Beginnings Endowment – this $18,000 grant supports the Family Center and activities
- NH Charitable Foundation – a musical grant for $7472 for the "Play on Program"
- Food Service Donation of $1,000, $200 and $100 – these were anonymous donations to support food service debt
- President Walsh – a committee for the superintendent search has been created that includes parents, staff, administrators and students; the committee will hold interviews this month
FACILITIES UPDATE
- CHS Ceiling Update – the auditorium repair is complete; the cost was covered by insurance except for a $1,000 deductible
- Middle School Project Update - cone penetration test was complete; there is an Architectural Design Review meeting with the city on Tuesday morning at 8:30am; the Planning Board meeting is on January 21 at 7pm
CITY & COMMUNITY RELATIONS
- Memorial Field Project – at the Special Board meeting on December 8, the Board agreed to split the cost of the design fee with the City of Concord
- The three electric buses have arrived
- Over the weekend a new bus, purchased in July (not an electric bus), caught fire near Keene – the bus driver and students did an excellent job handing the situation and the district is grateful to the high school in Noble, Maine for quickly picking up our students
FINANCE
- Finance monthly report – Business Administrator Jack Dunn reviewed the finance report
NEGOTIATIONS
- All proposals are in and the negotiation team will be meeting with the teachers
PERSONNEL
- Winter coaches – approved 9-0
INSTRUCTIONAL COMMITTEE
- 306s CHS– there will be an update at the Instructional Committee meeting in January
- Program of Studies – the CHS program of studies will be digital only for now, while working through the updated 306 ed rules
- CRTC Proposed Courses – CRTC proposed two new programs - Digital Media & Production Technology I & Welding Technology I
