SCHOOL CELEBRATION
Students from Broken Ground made the connection between the district's "Portrait of a Learner" and key skills learned when participating in the production of Finding Nemo – BGS student performance (1 minute)
RECOGNITIONS / REPORTS
- Student Report - Aryn Bernardo and Clementine Mayala shared updates at Concord High school, including:
- Concord High School has posted the complete CHS yearbook collection from 1927 through 2024 online
- NEASC (New England Association of Schools and Colleges) will visit CHS next week
- Superintendent Report
- COMF Update – the electric charging stations have been installed and need to be configured
- Meeting with City Officials – district leadership met with city leadership to discuss projects and share information
- Special education improvement plan update – the district is forming a committee to follow up on the report, measure progress and set goals
- Donation to CRTC Automotive Update – CRTC received a Ford Focus for the automotive program
- Theater program at CHS – theater no longer qualifies for CTE funding and will transfer to Concord High School
- A final report will be created after the NEASC visit next week at Concord High School, which will lead to the 10-year plan
FACILITIES UPDATE
- CHS Ceiling Update – the project is going very well and will hopefully be ready finished the end of December
- Middle School Project Update - cone penetration testing and a test geothermal well have been completed and are waiting for results; the Building Committee meets on December 4
CITY & COMMUNITY RELATIONS
- Memorial Field Project – David Gill of Parks & Recreation presented the current proposal for Memorial Field at the last City & Community Relations committee meeting; the committee recommended splitting the $1.2M design and development cost 50/50 with the city
FINANCE
- Finance monthly report – Business Administrator Jack Dunn reviewed the finance report
- School Care Assessment Agreement – Jack Dunn reviewed payment options for the School Care assessment
- Introduction of Loan Resolution – Jack Dunn introduced the loan resolution for middle school project and proposed a date of January 5, 2026 for the hearing
- Middle School Project – working on purchasing a portion of solar panels to qualify for Federal tax credits
- Negotiations update – met with CEA
COMMUNICATION & POLICY
- The Board reviewed Policy 415: Title IX Sexual Harassment Reporting and Grievance Process (2nd read) – approved 9-0
INSTRUCTIONAL COMMITTEE
- ELA Vertical Alignment – members of the ELA committee reviewed the process for updating the English Language Arts standards
- 306s CHS Presentation – Assistant Superintendent Kimberly Yarlott and the CHS leadership team shared proposed changes to the graduation requirements based on the updated 306 rules; more information will be shared with Board regarding social studies sequence

- Memorial Field Project – tabled a vote on approval of design and development, looking for details on financing approved 9-0
- School Care Agreement – approved payment plan 9-0
- Loan Resolution – Monday, January 5 has been set as a date for the public hearing on the middle school project bond resolution – approved 9-0
- ELA Vertical Alignment – approved 9-0 as presented
OTHER BUSINESS
- Monthly enrollment report – Dr. Herbert reviewed the enrollment report
- President Walsh thanked Jim Richards and Sarah Robinson for their service
